Come immerse yourself in the spirit of Aloha for seven days on the Big Island of Hawai'i. This unique retreat will feature two of Hawai'i's loved and honored kumu, Aunty Mahealani Kuamo'o-Henry and Kumu Hula Raylene Kawaiae'a. Ho'opono pono ke ala (making right more right the path), an introduction to the values and spirit of Hawai'i, will be taught by Aunty Mahealani. Kuamo'o-Henry, Kumu Hula Raylene Kawaiae'a, through her teachings and example, will offer you a deep understanding of the spiritual values that are the foundation of the cultural practices of chant and hula.
The unique blending of the teachings of these two amazing teachers will give you a greater depth of appreciation and understanding of the Hawaiian spirit and culture and help you incorporate this ancient wisdom into your own spiritual practices.

Like Hawai'i, made up of great diversity, this retreat brings together the different perspectives and energies of two very loved and honored Hawaiian kumu, Aunty Mahealani Kuamo'o-Henry and Kumu Hula Raylene Kawaiae'a. The diversity of their gifts combine to offer you a broader understanding of Hawaiian values and spirituality.
In this retreat Aunty Mahealani, who brings joy and enthusiasm along with her wisdom, will present daily classes in ho'opono pono ke ala. This is a traditional counseling form designed to help people promote "self-best" through self-permission to recognize and reconnect to self-greatness as well as learn to experience self-greatness in every day events and moments. You will learn to leave behind fear-based mindsets of power, control and damnation and become the best you ever!

Kumu Hula Raylene Kawaiae'a , beloved and honored cultural expert,will share experiences in Hawaiian cultural practices, including ho'opono pono, chant, and hula. She will help you understand how the Hawaiian spiritual concepts of these practices can be included in your life as you align your spirit with your own practices.
There will also be time to relax, swim at the ocean or the pool, gather your own thoughts or take a walk in the beautiful coastal retreat area.
There will also be a visit to Pele at the Kilauea volcano and a full moon ceremony at the warm ponds, where the thermal waters of the volcano mix with the cool waters of the ocean.
This is truly an immersion into the culture and spirit of Hawai'i. |
